A critical member of the Commercial Banking Line of Business and client relationship team with extensive Commercial loan experience with the most highly complex deal structures and Client relationships. incumbent is accountable for managing a portfolio of commercial clients and client retention.
Daily responsibilities include, applying and enforcing risk mitigation controls, maintaining a high level of data stewardship, adhering to Bank policies, procedures and federal regulations as applicable, while providing exceptional service to commercial clients. Perform a qualitative review, assessment and interpretation of internal and external legal documentation for adherence to Bank policies, procedures and federal regulations to mitigate operational, documentation, reputation risk as appropriate. Initiates action to remediate any inaccuracies or exceptions prior to loan closing.
Participate in various project and data analysis to satisfy management and Corporate mandates, provide status reports to CBCS Team Leader/Manager. Exercises independent judgment and decision making to resolve highly complex client issues. Effectively escalate and engage Relationship Manager and/or CBCS Team Leader of issues as appropriate.Perform post-closing audit of loan closing package for completeness and accuracy. Manages highly complex portfolio and supports less experienced loan specialists.
Bachelor preferred, High School or GED required
5 years Commercial loan administration or lending environment and Operational and client service experience
Broad and thorough understanding of Commercial Credit Policy, Federal regulations, loan documentation terms and conditions including Credit Agreements, Notes, Guarantees and collateral requirements and is qualified to close highly complex loans and products independently.
Ability to identify and manage the risk, minimizing the outcome and escalating where appropriate; and to drive increased process improvement resulting in superior customer experience.
Highly skilled in review of credit and legal documentation to accurately interpret loan structure terms and provisions for compliance to bank and regulatory policy and accurate translation to Bank’s system of record to prevent negative impact to Client and/or Bank.
Must be capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing in a time sensitive environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
