The Maintenance Team Leader is the First Line Leader providing the first
level of exempt salaried leadership of hourly maintenance mechanical and
E&I personnel working in the small team structure in support of self-
directed work teams in a high-performance work system. Position includes
responsibility for productivity and performance of their Maintenance
team to optimize daily operations and preventive and predictive
maintenance programs insuring maintenance of plant equipment and the
overall facility to assure safety, total quality and reliability of
equipment. They are expected to appropriately recognize as well as
counsel team members concerning work performance. Provide active and
visible support for mill safety programs and processes.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and leadership as part of Cedar
River’s relentless pursuit of injury free. Demonstrated ability to
manage daily shift operations with a focus on continuous improvement.
Five years industrial maintenance/process experience with industrial
maintenance/process related post-secondary education. Strong computer
skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office. Provide leadership
for the day to day activities of the Maintenance team, planning for the
next few weeks, and setting direction for year-long results. The
activities will promote maintenance team member involvement in safety
and reliability of people, equipment and processes. Provide active and
visible support for the mill safety programs as the highest priority.
