Specific Job Description
Candidate will support the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) program with the U.S. Navy and will support the the FY10 LCS production team. Candidate will perform contract management services for the FY10 production contract with a focus on FY13 ships. The candidate must be experienced with U.S. Government contracting and demonstrate full knowledge and expertise in a variety of contract types, bid preparation, negotiations, teaming agreements, nondisclosure agreements, intellectual property, OCI mitigation, requests for equitable adjustments, and claims. Successful candidate must have knowledge of FAR, DFARS, acquisition policies, and standard contract types.
Standard Job Description
Negotiates, administers, extends, terminates and renegotiates standard and nonstandard contracts. Evaluates contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations. Maintains communications to ensure timely contract execution by the parties. Ensures final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations. May plan and participate in training of contract practices and negotiations to company personnel.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
