Duties

Additional Duty Location Info:
State of Hawaii, HI; Island of Oahu, HI; Kaneohe and Kailua, HI

Performs one or more of the following duties: Loads and unloads heavy boxes, bulky supplies, and materials to and from trucks, dollies, etc. Moves heavy boxes or cartons by hand, hand-truck, or dolly. Opens crates and boxes using crowbars and cuts bands using shears. Stacks boxes and cartons where directed. Runs hand and powered (walking type) lawn mowers which do not require very heavy physical effort. Clears small trees and bushes using hatchet, handsaw, or clipper. Moves and arranges furniture as directed. Collects and empties garbage cans. Washes and waxes cards and trucks by hand or using powered buffer. Performs housekeeping duties such as cleaning toilets, mopping, and buffing floors, etc. Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications and Evaluations

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Knowledge and skill sufficient to run lawn mowers and use hand buffers, hatchets, saws, hand and other tools requiring the same level of knowledge and skill. Knowledge and skill sufficient to read signs, follow simple oral and written instructions. Ability to work safely while moving light to heavy weight objects.

You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position.

You will need to successfully complete a background security investigation before you can be appointed into this position.

You must have a valid driver's license to qualify for this position. You will also be subject to screening for illegal drug use.

You may need to work outdoors, often under adverse weather conditions.

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:
You will be evaluated based upon the question responses you provide during a structured interview. In responding to structured interview questions you should be sure to site specific examples of experience, explain exactly what you did, and the outcome.
