Reporting to the Managing Director, Global Sales & Strategic Accounts, the overriding responsibility of the Partner Solution Architect - Global Partnerships will be to take on a leadership role in collaborating with VP's of Global Partner Business Development to acquire and manage strategic Global Partnerships for KIT digital. They will articulate our market offering and our strategy and help translate the strategy into reality by motivating and rallying Global Partners around our best interests, or identifying capability gaps and helping to address those. Partner Solution Architects on the Global Partner Team are very interested in improving the way that delivery is done in concert with our Global Partners. They are commercially and organizationally savvy and not naïve about how business and clients are won, kept and made profitable.

Specifically, the Partner Solution Architect - Global Partnerships will:
Collaborate on Business Development Opportunities – Apply technical expertise and product knowledge to channel business development with VPs of Global Partner Business Development. Experience in the media & entertainment/telecom/enterprise industry and specifically OTT/IPTV marketplace to work with counterparts with the Partner prospects to present potential joint solutions.
Own the Technical Aspect of the Partner Relationship Globally – Manage all technical engagement activities between KIT digital and Partner, inclusive of aligning Engineering and Product Management/Marketing resources between KIT digital and Partner. Be the point for key integration and delivery activities between KIT digital and Partner. Creating the architecture and design of the systems and justification of the solution to clients and/or Partners. Communication of architecture and design to the team and supporting them in implementing it. Leading, mentoring and encouraging (and where necessary, enforcing) awareness and respect for software design and software engineering disciplines.
Make Things Happen – Be "THE" KIT digital product experts to liaise with Partners, including providing demonstration, technical documentation and creation of joint reference architecture between KIT digital and Partner. Recommend effective solutions to highly complicated business requirements and technical issues. Be the key point of contact for the Partner on project delivery teams and a “go-to” technical resource for Client Directors, Technical Project Managers and clients or Partners.
Provide Technical Sales Leadership – Generate new business by creating relevant connection points between KIT digital and Global Partners, to be represented in new business pitches (RFP/RFI), joint presentations to Global Partners' clients and to effectively position KIT digital with Global Partners at industry conferences and networking functions.
Serve as an Industry Expert – Help to materially improve KIT digital’s software development competence by initiating and managing programs of change - e.g. best practice around a subject or drive an R&D initiative such as helping KIT digital or Partner skill-up in an emerging technology or product set. Identifying emerging trends or technologies that could impact us and the Partner in the future, and then advising KIT digital and Partner technical teams on the means and methods to deliver world class software applications.
Creates Compelling Proposals and/or Manages Proposal Development Process – Effectively partner with internal teams (Regional Sales, Client Services, other Technical Architects/Sales Engineering, Product Management, etc.) and with Partner Teams put together effective joint solutions, describing the KIT digital capability, value proposition and reasons to engage with KIT digital.
Build Awareness and Exude Credibility – Taking a senior client management approach, possibly solo though more likely in conjunction with others e.g. project manager, client director, to diagnose complex technical environments and exude technical credibility and quickly troubleshooting skills - fixing really difficult problems when they crop up in a client's environment or system, coordinating rapid, expert on-the-ground technical response.
Desired Skills and Experience :
10+ years of overall development/architecture experience with at least 5 years as a TA and/or in a hands-on role.
Experience in designing and implementing multi-tier, highly concurrent and distributed internet-facing web applications.
Experience with internet-scale HTTP caching solutions.
Experience with complex event-driven architectures.
Experience of integrating legacy applications and systems
Experience developing complex, high availability enterprise software in Java/J2EE.
Strong expertise with Web Services.
Strong experience with a RESTful architecture
Strong Core Java knowledge with prior working experience with Spring, AOP, and Hibernate.
Strong knowledge and experience with Websphere or Weblogic and JBOSS.
Knowledge of MSFT and mobile technologies – i.e. working on a range of different platforms (.NET, Android, iPhone).
Experience with multi-device design.
Media/ Domain Experience and/or Channel Sales Engineering Experience a big plus.
5 years of experience in a customer facing role (Professional Services, Sales Engineering or similar capacity).
Extremely strong interpersonal skills and the ability to fight through politics and over difficult hurdles.
Strong verbal and written presentation skills including the ability to tell compelling stories and be a persuasive presenter.
Self-starter with ability to work independently with little supervision, but still strong team player.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook and sales databases.
Unassailable ethics and high degree of professionalism in all aspects of conduct.
Experienced and comfortable with global travel (up to 50%) and working in a multi-national environment.
