The Harnett County Department of Social Services has a Data Entry Operator II (DSS 116-12) position available in the Children's Medicaid unit. The unit is responsible for taking and processing applications and reviews for all Family and Children's Medicaid programs.

Examples of Duties:
This employee will carry responsibility for preparing enrollment packets to be mailed to clients and logging and tracking of all Children's Medicaid cards. An employee in this position will also file and retrieve State generated reports to determine case actions that need to be taken, set up records on transfer cases, request records from other counties and from clients. Other job functions include completing timely notices for Medicaid enrollment and assisting with locating records for re-enrollment. This position involves public contact, records and reports, and composition duties. Other tasks include gathering information needed for Medicaid applications and reviews and preparing replacement Medicaid cards.

Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from high school and six months of experience as a data entry operator or typist; or an equivalent of education and experience. A high school equivalency certificate or clerical or data entry experience on a year basis may be substituted for formal education.

Supplemental Information:
Bi-lingual in Spanish and English preferred.
