Overall responsibility for all accounting functions: loan, lease, high risk asset, loan participation accounting, centralized document indexing and records management, and accounting training through leading staff in Louisville and by providing support and direction to field based staff. Primary liaison to internal and external service providers on systems issues related to accounting systems and support.

Association VP – Accounting Operations (1), Director - Accounting Operations (3-5)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

:

1.

Leads departmental staff by challenging the processes, inspiring a shared vision, enabling others to act, modeling the way, and encouraging the heart.

2.

Assures timely and accurate accounting information for both internal and external customers.

3.

Assures proper policy and procedures are in place to guide all employees in accounting operations matters.

4.

Ensures effective management of the department which includes, but is not limited to, employing, granting authorities, setting standards, evaluating performance, correcting deficiencies, developing skills and making salary adjustments. Promotes Affirmative Action and fair treatment of employees in a discrimination-free work place.

5.

Represents and communicates the values, purpose and mission of the association to employees, customers, publics and other target audiences, including the leadership team and any other assigned team.

6.

Leads or coordinates projects (systems and or process enhancements) at the district or association level involving participants representing the association.

7.

Represents association at organized events and customer meetings relating technical or service offerings information that enhance customer experiences.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
Education and Experience

Advanced degree in finance, accounting, business or related field; professional certification (CPA, CMA, CFA) desired. Three to Five years of progressively responsible financial operations experience, two to three of which have been in a leadership role or having demonstrated leadership capabilities.
