Maintenance Manager

Develop and deliver maintenance programs that sustain process capability, provide reliable uptime, and keep employees safe. Create the vision and culture to improve equipment effectiveness and enhance maintenance productivity.

General Role Requirements

Directs and coordinates maintenance activities including the implementation of best practices.

Establishes sound TPM system.

Establishes maintenance standards and ensures that maintenance procedures are done “right first time”.

Introduces effective practices to sustain the process capability of manufacturing equipment and to reduce scrap and quality defects.

Proactively manages unplanned downtime and addresses its root causes to improve overall plant productivity and capacity.

Leads the facilities and maintenance staff in driving operational excellence.

Creates the vision and practices to eliminate unsafe equipment and facilities.

Maintains buildings, site systems and utilities in compliance with environmental, safety, health and other regulations.

Mentors/develops staff to support the achievement of their performance goals, strengthen group’s capabilities.

Drives maintenance efficiency/productivity.

Drives/ owns process to make site presentable to customers (instil pride).

Key Skills and Attributes

Demonstrated skills in implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices such as preventive, corrective and autonomous maintenance.

Solid understanding of the set-up, operation and maintenance requirements of the technologies present at the site including production machines and tooling, material handling equipment, site systems and utilities.

Adept in the analysis of quantitative and financial information to prioritize maintenance-related opportunities and effectively allocate maintenance resources.

Strong problem solving and organization skills.

Excellent collaborator, able to team with production, quality, and engineering management to improve plant performance.

Good communicator, able to motivate and articulate vision, priorities, and rationale for change.

Strong mentoring skills, able to coach subordinates in developing requisite management and maintenance discipline.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 7 years of facility mgmt required.
