POSITION SUMMARY:
Work with team to execute all Global Communications initiatives in North America with an emphasis on national traditional media, artist relations and special collections and collaborations. Work with Executive Director on global strategic planning and event execution for VIVA GLAM and M
·A·C AIDS Fund initiatives
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

COLLECTIONS/ ARTIST RELATIONS/ SENIOR ARTISTS §

Work with Executive Director to strategize national media pitching for feature stories for priority collections, collaborations, artist relations initiatives, fashion week, senior artists, special events/partnerships etc. §

Collaborate with Executive Director on determining priority collections to highlight with the media, collection launch executions and asset creation for optimal North America pitching efforts §

Develop global media strategy for select Artist Relations activities (as main point of contact in Globe Comm.) and execute for North America §

Develop North American media strategies and execute pitches to raise profile and awareness of North America Directors of Makeup Artistry and Senior Artists §

Oversee Assistant Manager on Senior Artist press opportunities

VIVA GLAM/MAF §

Support Executive Director to develop and implement global/international media strategy for M
·A·C AIDS Fund/Viva Glam ‘glam’ news §
Conceptualize and create media storylines, messaging, and platforms for VIVA GLAM campaigns and events §
Strategize and secure national media stories on M
·A·C AIDS Fund/VIVA GLAM ‘glam’ stories in North America §
Along with Executive Director, oversee M
·A·C AIDS Fund’s “Viva” PR agency to ensure all executive press opportunities are appropriate §
Manage and allocate VIVA GLAM’s operating budget
MISCELLANEOUS §

Work with Executive Director and Manager of Talent and Special Events on identifying appropriate event sponsorships for maximum press reach (ex Oscars, Coachella, etc.) §

Oversee Assistant Manager on Fashion Week press strategy, backstage media access and staffing, and press surrounding FW events §

Maintain and cultivate North America media relationships (national, print, online, broadcast, short-lead, long-lead, etc.) §

Work with Los Angeles based PR agency to secure priority regional press coverage §

Mentor junior staff

Qualifications

8+ years public relations experience
·
Diplomacy, team player and leadership skills
·
Ability to prioritize and juggle numerous projects at once
·
Strategic thinking
·
Significant budget maintenance
·
Strong contacts with the national press and entertainment media (print, broadcast and online)
· Social media savvy
· Highly organized with the ability to share focus among product launches, special projects, fashion week, Viva Glam, MAC AIDS Fund
