Job Details:

The PM is responsible to maintain the financial budget, as well as the schedules of projects under his assignment. The PM “supervises” those on the project team to ensure that all tasks are carried out in a timely manner to accomplish the project. The PM prepares sales forecasts, billing forecasts, invoices for Finance to send out, approves the budgets on material to be ordered, assists’ in the approval of erection subcontractors and fabrication subcontractors. The PM schedules materials and people to the field in a timely fashion. The PM assists as required and as he can with better ways of accomplishing tasks and problem solving. The PM works to maintain a positive cash flow on the projects.

Requirements:

The job requires a technical degree. The PM must be able to read drawings and technical manuals and have a solid understanding of complex industrial equipment, such as the APC equipment. The PM is required to be computer literate and have a solid knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Project and Lotus Notes. The PM should also have working knowledge of other scheduling software, such as Primavera. Experience with precipitators, baghouses and other pollution control equipment is essential. Thorough understanding of the process of project proposal development through engineering and design (structural, mechanical & electrical), fabrication, construction and start-up is critical. Experience working with erection subcontractors is required. The PM should be able to write/assemble O&M manuals for air pollution control equipment. Ability to supervise office as well as field personnel. Ability to estimate and understand costs. Ability to evaluate and provide guidance in the procurement of equipment.

Client Requirements:

Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to delegate responsibilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Works independently as well as part of a team. Must be willing and able to travel. Engineering degree, or equivalent project management experience. PM Certification, a plus.
