POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The preferred location for this position is the General Office Building (GOB) in St. Louis, but location could be flexible dependent on successful candidate.

The Regulatory Specialist is responsible for development and implementation of tools, methods, information and studies in support of rate designs, cost of service, pricing, regulatory filings and associated administration. Additionally, this position may also be responsible for administering rate and regulatory policies and other regulatory duties.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide analytical, technical, administrative and project support to the respective Regulatory function to which assigned. Such responsibilities include:

Develop and use methodologies and tools for the collection, processing and maintaining of data and databases used for regulatory purposes,

Assist in the development of electric and gas cost of service studies and rate structures utilizing sound economic principles in a supportable and equitable manner,

Assemble and analyze financial and accounting information for cost of service studies, regulatory reports, regulatory commission filings and data inquiries,

Assist in preparing and revising tariffs, preparation of rate information sheets, computing rider charges and support for associated reconciliations, as required.

Assist in regulatory compliance activities as required

Assist in other regulatory research and other matters as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field.

Experience: Five or more years of utility experience, preferably with prior experience involving the application of utility tariffs and regulatory policies, familiarity with managing and analyzing financial data, and possess an understanding of public utility commission requirements.

Other: Demonstrated ability to consistently exercise good judgment and develop a course of action based on logical assumptions and analysis of factual information. Demonstrated ability to effectively participate on cross functional teams to create innovative solutions to complex issues. Advanced Excel skills required. Excellent organizational skills required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Typically works a standard day shift in an office environment. Regular travel and unexpected, irregular and potentially long hours may be required.
