Responsible to: American Diabetes Association Staff and the Camp Granada Committee
§ Review and if necessary, make revisions to the Medical Guidelines.
§ Assist in the recruitment and selection of members of the medical staff.
§ Coordinate with other medical staff to ensure all medical supply needs are met.
§ Assure compliance with Medical Guidelines, ADA National Policies and safe, expert medical care.
§ Coordinate activities with all admin staff, to ensure complete coverage of campers.
§ Interpret medical policies for staff, maintaining ACA/CDC/ADA standards for health care.
§ Collaborate with other administrative staff to implement orientation standards, paying particular attention to medical aspects of camp.
§ Responsible for supervision of all medical staff.
§ Attends and participates in the Camp Committee meetings.
§ Attend daily administrative meetings during week of camp.
§ Other duties as assigned.
§ Licensed physician or advanced practice nurse with 5-10 years supervisory experience and skill in the care of children and adolescents with diabetes.
§ Must possess interpersonal skills and the ability to supervise, communicate, problem solve and think critically in a camp environment.
