The Research Project Coordinator works closely with Principal Investigators (PI) and Scientists to plan, develop, implement and manage research projects at Marshfield Clinic and other collaborating sites. The Research Project Coordinator provides support for research activities on a variety of topics funded by federal, commercial or private sources. The Research Project Coordinator contributes significantly to all aspects of research including assisting in the evaluation of project design, implementation involving data collection, analysis, reporting, project coordination and dissemination of study results. The Coordinator utilizes resources efficiently and effectively to execute the global directives and objectives established by the PI or Scientist and program and is the focal point for communications and dissemination of information to Marshfield Clinic investigators and others assuring that project requirements are completed within established time frames and budgets.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a health science, business or related field is required. (Education qualifications must be from a school whose accreditation is recognized by Marshfield Clinic).
License/Certification: Certification through Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) required, or must obtain within two years of hire, if focus of projects are within the clinical research area.
Experience: Three years of research work experience to include knowledge of research principals and regulations is required. Advanced knowledge of office software including word processing, database and internet applications is required. Must also have knowledge of medical terminology. Experience at an academic medical center, university or not-for-profit corporation in the healthcare sector is preferred.
