Develops, establishes, and maintains relationships with high net worth individuals, the professional services industry and their partners, and not-for-profit entities by directly providing and/or coordinating standardized and customized personal and commercial cash management and depository services, secured and unsecured credit, investment management, institutional and corporate retirement investment facilities, benefits banking, and working capital/equipment financing. Actively networks to identify and target new opportunities to develop and expand client relationships. Meets with existing and prospective clients to assess financial service needs and propose solutions. Provides financial advice and counsel to existing and potential customers within appropriate legal constraints. Develops and maintains professional referral networks. Coordinates the sponsorship of client events to generate business opportunities. Maintains a working knowledge of all Umpqua Bank and Umpqua Investments, Inc products and services in order to effectively cross-sell all appropriate services. Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes. Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual required or job-specific training. Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words. Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate. Registered Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO)
This position requires you to act as a MLO, which is defined as an individual who takes loan applications, and/or offers or negotiates the terms of a loan for compensation or gain. All MLO’s will be required to register as a MLO complying with the S.A.F.E. Act requirements.
Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. May provide work leadership by assigning work and resolving problems. Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or equivalent, and considerable prior personal, commercial, real estate, and/or investment-services experience. Proven track record in developing business in the private bank and or professional services industry. Strong credit and analytical abilities and in-depth knowledge of bank products and services. Holds leadership roles in community organizations. Must be registered as a MLO as per the S.A.F.E. Act requirements. Must possess Life Insurance, Series 7 and Series 66 licenses or be able to obtain them within 120 days of hire into the position.
