) is a bi-lingual, (Japanese/English) sales professional responsible for managing a key Japanese account in North America for Henkel's Transportation and Metals Business (AT). The KAM requires exceptional communication skills to effectively interface regularly with all levels of Henkel and the customer organization. This position will utilize key selling strategies and competencies to improve profits and account growth. These competencies include, but are not limited to, analytical thinking; initiative; team building; time management; and persistence.
The KAM will grow sales by understanding customer needs and applying Henkel solutions, recommending modifications to the products, development of new products, and coordinating sales negotiations with appropriate customer personnel, Henkel's NA Business Team and Global KAM.
Position Responsibilities:
Successfully manage this key Japanese North American account resulting in year-on-year growth in sales and profitability commensurate with the overall strategic directives of the business.
Formulation and execution of a regularly updated written account strategies and forecast. In order to achieve this, the incumbent must continuously assess the state of the market, including the need for new technologies, changes in market direction, our competitors intentions, Henkel's strengths and weaknesses and the validity of our assumptions, including market size in account, growth projections, account needs, and our share of the market.
Effectively coordinate the execution of new design programs and product introductions at the account with Product Development, Marketing, Operations, Quality and other appropriate Henkel personnel.
Responsible for timely and accurate administrative tasks supporting the account strategy including qualification and implementation of products to customer requirements, forecast updates, maintenance of the Capris project management system, coordination of specification reviews and preparation of monthly reports.
Timely and effectively communicate about the account strategy execution to the customer, Henkel's NA Business Team, Global KAM members of Henkel Management, and other appropriate Henkel personnel.
Continuously update professional selling and leadership skills to keep pace with the practical daily business use of business software and communication equipment and to acquire and maintain an in-depth knowledge of Henkel products and their application in customer processes.
The KAM is responsible for carrying out company policy and appropriately managing an annual sales expense budget and company property.

Who we are looking for
Fluent in Japanese and English languages
Bachelors of Science in a technical or business discipline, MBA preferred
5 - 10 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry and a progressive record of self-starting sales results
Up-to-date computer skills including business typing skills, strong literacy in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Power Point and Lotus Notes
Outstanding presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Regular travel within the United States -- approximately 40%
Requires a valid drivers license
