In this position you will learn how to design, develop, test, and support open source software products based on C/C++. You will interface with customers and users. DataSoft Corp. is developing NOVA, an innovative network security software product that will detect and thwart attackers that have broken through normal intrusions protections and are snooping to find valuable information on the network. NOVA is currently in a beta release and we are using the open source software model to bring it to market quickly. Implement key features for a novel Open Source network security related application in a C/C++ GNU/Linux development environment
Perform debugging and software tests to improve software quality
Participate in and contribute to the high level design and architecture of the software project
Write documentation related to project design, requirements, and implementation
Work in a small team to deliver high performance and high quality software
Undergraduate or Grad student enrolled in CE or CS degree program
Strong proficiency in C/C++ coding; experience writing highly stable, secure, and efficient code
Experience with debugging complex software systems
Experience with computer networking and protocols
Interest in network security, information assurance, cyber defense
