The data warehouse manager is responsible for providing leadership to data warehouse staff, monitoring workload, allocating resources, setting growth goals with team members, monitoring achievements, and assisting with career development. The manager will assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for data warehousing in conjunction with data users, department managers, and other key stakeholders. The position will also coordinate and work with other technical staff to develop database architecture, coding standards, policies and procedures and assist with the definition, design and deployment of cohesive data warehousing architecture that supports the strategic objectives of HealthCare Partners of Nevada. The manager must have theoretical and practical knowledge of data warehousing with strong customer service, communication, managerial and negotiating skills.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems and computer engineering is required, or equivalent related technical work experience.
5+ years of Data Warehousing experiences, including data modeling, ETL and data integration.
3+ years of strong data governance, data quality, and data strategy experience.
3 + years of experience with Microsoft database, ETL and reporting tools (including SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and SharePoint Server).
2+ years of experience with database tuning and performance.
2+ years managing technical / analytical teams
Experience with data modeling tools, such as PowerDesigner, ER/Studio and Rational Rose within a data warehouse environment.
Experience with advanced report writing and/or data analysis in the healthcare, health insurance or third-party administration industry. Experience with Clinical Applications, such as EMR, preferred.
Experience with one or more of the following healthcare application data sources: EMR, Medical Claims, Medical Billing, Prescription Drug Claims, Lab Results, Case Management, Authorization, Referral, Inpatient Management and Practice Management systems.
Experience with one or more of the following types of healthcare data analysis cores: Hospital Utilization, Provider Specialty Utilization, HEDIS/P4P, Patient Risk Stratification, Medical Risk Adjustment, HCC Management, Financial Costs, Revenue, Billing and Clinical Access.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence architecture (particularly in a Microsoft-centric environment).
Solid understanding of both transactional and relational databases.
Data warehousing best practice methodologies.
Strong critical thinking skills and project management skills.
Advanced SQL skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and PowerPoint.
