Errand Solutions, a rapidly growing services company is seeking a Guest Relations Assistant to service an established client of Errand Solutions in the Greensboro area. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone that understands the statement "You cannot train a smile". Guest Relations Assistant’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Identifies self and role upon arrival to patient’s room providing number to contact as needed.
Greets patient and family members and assist in identifying care team i.e. MD, RN, ER Tech etc.
Provides information to significant others regarding the patient’s progress; visits the waiting room regularly to ensure that the significant other understands wait times.
Assists significant other to locate the patient when they are moved to another area/department. Communicates to Nursing Team, Physician Staff or patient Representatives any potential concerns regarding patient’s comfort and care.
Notifies Operations Supervisor, Charge Nurse or Patient Representatives of special circumstances and / or unresolved problems.
Anticipates patient / family needs or potential needs throughout the Emergency Center stay including referrals to other support services such as spiritual care and translation.
Provides comfort care measures i.e. pillow, warm blanket, telephone assistance and food or drink if cleared by clinical staff. Stock and maintain the Loyalty Lounge and pantry areas Call discharged ED Physician Loyalty patients within (24 to 48) hours to assist with follow-up appointment scheduling and survey for the Emergency Room experience.
Strives to provide Guest Relations excellence by resolving concerns quickly and accurately.
Qualifications
Ability to use general word processing and spreadsheet software, E-mail, and the Internet.
Must have proven experience using search engines and utilizing web based software.
Must have proven telephone skills. Strong communication and organization skills are essential.
Resourcefulness and flexibility and a knowledge of the city required. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, partners and other employees of the organization in a courteous and polite manner is required.
An ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks is essential.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to read, analyze and comprehend general business instructions.
Ability to develop and write reports and business correspondences.
Ability to effectively communicate, present information and respond to questions from groups of clients, customers, the general public, patients and employees of the organization in a courteous and professional manner.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; and at least 1 year experience in a retail or service business environment with positive customer service experience.
