Marketing Communications Coordinator, professional position responsible for managing Agency internal and external communications activities including development of marketing materials, general advertising, web site content, media relations, and in support of sales, fund raising, training and volunteer services. Manages corporate brand guidelines and ensures consistency throughout the Agency. Produces internal and external communications supporting the Agency. Designs marketing materials using Microsoft Publisher, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Materials include, but are not limited to, training materials, brochures, newsletters, postcards, print & internet ads and outdoor signage. Manages the VNA web site, FaceBook, and Twitter content according to marketing communications objectives; writes and posts updates as needed. Develops, conducts, and implements ongoing media relations and advertising campaigns to increase awareness of the Agency and its services. Establishes relationships with media representatives, coordinates public relations activities, such as generating press releases and proactive pitches, and creates media partnerships . Manages, promotes, and reports on the Agency's annual fund raising campaign. Assists with developing and implementing the strategic marketing plan.
BA/BS marketing, public relations, communications or other business-related field. Three to five years marketing communications experience, including media relations, direct mail, social media design work, and web-based communications, preferably in health related industry. Excellent written and oral communications skills, good planning and management skills. Intermediate knowledge of Internet marketing strategies and tactics.
Graphic design knowledge and experience. Highly organized and the ability to multi-task. Outstanding writing, proofing and editing skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential to effectively interact with the public and potential donors as well as communicate with Agency staff to accomplish priorities. Data entry skills to input alpha-numeric data. This requires accuracy and timeliness as well as the ability to produce a high volume of materials professionally. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a professional manner. Must be able to communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers and promote the Agency effectively in all mediums. Ability to analyze financial trends.
