Keystone Human Services - Intellectual Disabilities provides supports to adults in a residential setting.
Positions are located in: Halifax and Millersburg
Hours: 80 hours per pay period; schedule to include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holiday hours. Schedules vary based on need.
The Community Support Associate (CSA) acts as a role model to teach, coach, and accompany individuals with intellectual disabilities so they are involved in family, neighborhood, civic, cultural and religious activities and events; meet new people; develop friendships; exercise choices; and acquire the competencies to maintain these activities as well as accomplish personal goals.
- developing and implementing teaching strategies
- documentation, to include data collection and report writing
- community outreach and networking
- household management
- providing transportation
- assisting in personal care
- coordinating activities and services
- establishing effective relationships with all persons affiliated with the house.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Demonstrate ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
Read, interpret, and apply written information such as policies, procedures, person centered plans, training and staff development readings
Understand, develop and implement learning objectives
A minimum of one (1) year work history
Be physically able to lift and participate in physical activities of daily living
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Be able to pass child abuse, state police, FBI and Cogent clearances
Possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive
Have daily access to a privately maintained vehicle
