We are looking for motivated individuals who are dedicated to providing unparalleled quality calibration service for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and electronic/electromechanical firms.

Our team is seeking to add a technician with experience in numerous areas of metrology who understands and values the criticality of calibrations, especially those which are part of Good Manufacturing Processes. (GMP) You will have ample opportunity to excel as you master the calibration requirements of our numerous customers in the San Francisco Bay area . Your technical services may be utilized at customer site locations or in our state of the art laboratory in Pleasanton, CA. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilit ies required.

  • Perform routine and moderately complex work, with minimal supervision
  • Calibrate, repair and troubleshoot electronic, mechanical/dimensional and electro-mechanical test and measurement equipment. Equipment includes but is not limited to:
1) Temperature
2) Pressure gauges
3) Transmitters
4) Probes
5) Flow
6) Calipers
7) Micrometers
8) Chart recorders
9) Electronic balances
10) Single and multichannel manual or electronic pipettes
11) Centrifuges
12) Single and Multichannel Pipettes
13) pH meters
14) Conductivity
15) Humidity
16) Force
17) Speed
18) Time
19 ) Torque
20 )Optical

  • Driving company vehicles and as needed, personal vehicles
  • Use calibration procedures and measurement systems on customer equipment in compliance with either A&P Calibrations, Inc. or customer requirements
  • Evaluate results of calibrations for certificate acceptance to deliver to QA
Minimum three (3) years instrument maintenance/calibration experience in military metrology/ electronics, pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device or related industries.

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineer ing or Process Controls
  • Associates Degree in Electronics acceptable
  • Military training in metrology, calibration/instrumentation, mechanical or electrical engineering acceptable depending upon extent and content
  • Diploma from vocational programs such as ITT or DeVry acceptable
  • Minimum six years directly applicable experience may be substituted in lieu of education requirements
  • Use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
  • Able to lift and move objects without assistance, minimum 75lbs.
  • Utilize hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks
  • Accurate v ision at all ranges (close and distant)
  • Depth perception/adjust focus
  • Peripheral v ision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point)
