Job Description:
Category Specialist - Software - Person will be
responsible for leading the establishment of Procurement
Strategies, negotiating commercial terms/contracts and
ensuring the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is
achieved for assigned projects related to Software
acquisitions and Software contract compliance. This
position must have/develop a close working partnership
with Internal Customers. In addition, position must
support the implementation of strategies by providing
leadership and direction as appropriate.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering or
equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in Software Sourcing and
Contracting
Detailed knowledge of the Software market place and
Software Licensing techniques
Experience in Insurance of Financial Services
preferred
Process improvement experience preferred
Required Competencies
Experience in sourcing and procurement (i.e.
Supplier identification, spend characterization,
RFI/RFP development, supplier selection and final
negotiations) in the Software category
Experience in Software Negotiations and Contracting
Proficiency in Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word
Software packages
Analytical and strategic problem-solving
capabilities
Good Leadership and communication skills (written
and verbal)
Project management skills
Constructively foster internal business partnerships
Lead and /or effectively participate in
cross-functional team environment
Experience working with a Legal team on contract
negotiations
Must be eligible to work in the United States without
employer sponsorship.
