Serves as the primary communication link to the Head Football Coach (HFC). Anticipates HFC’s intent when absent; initiates problem resolution; and handles sensitive, personal, and confidential situations. Relieves HFC of administrative duties not requiring his direct attention. Schedules public relations opportunities with the university, community organizations, and the media; handles student-athlete public relations; completes NCAA compliance paperwork; and handles resource management such as recruiting office volunteers and interns to ensure completion of department paperwork in an effort to keep overtime to a minimum and stay within the department budget.

REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent and two to three years of office experience.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and database software; excellent verbal and written communications skills; and ability to establish work priorities while managing a broad range of highly sensitive business-related activities. Must demonstrate a high degree of sensitivity to confidential matters and have the ability to work efficiently and effectively without supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and experience in athletics.
