The Department of Social and Health Services, Economic Services Administration (ESA), Community Services Division (CSD) is recruiting to fill one (1) part time, twenty (20) hours per week , Customer Service Specialist 2 position within the Columbia River Community Services Office located in Vancouver, WA.


Duties include but are not limited to:

Issue Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) Cards, bus passes, gas and pre-paid merchant cards to clients.

Assist clients in main lobby with check in process.

Act as liaison by assisting clients with on-line applications for services through the DSHS Washington Connections website.

Back up for ordering supplies and stocking shelves for both the CSO and CSC.
Provides maintenance on office equipment.

Mail pick up and distribution throughout office. Mail room back up.

Prepare and box documents according to records retention schedule.

Back up for Commute Trip Reduction coordinator.



An Associate’s degree AND two years of experience providing assistance to customers regarding inquiries, complaints or problems;


Bachelor’s degree;


Equivalent experience providing assistance to customers regarding inquiries, complaints or problems.

Expereince in Barcode and Automated Client Eligibility System (ACES)
Ability to perform basic math calculations
Ability to create and maintain spreadsheets in Excel
