There is an immediate opening for a Payroll and Administration Associate Manager to manage and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in recording hours of work, processing time records, compiling payroll statistics, maintaining payroll control records, and calculations of a multi-state payroll for the Retail and Corporate. In addition, this individual will manage administration related functions within the Human Resources Department. Lastly, one will establish control-related standards and procedures.

Individual will be responsible for the following:
1. Payroll Processing/Payroll Changes: Responsible for the payroll processing of all Sportswear employees. Audits payroll registers to ensure accuracy. Reviews and approves payroll deductions to be sent to VF Payroll. Processes voids and manual checks. Facilitates VF Payroll Tracking log. Processes compensation and other related changes.

2. Kronos Time and Attendance: Responsible for the Company’s time and attendance system as the system administrator. Ensures accurate record keeping in compliance with all state and federal regulations. Provide support, when needed, to management as the Kronos administrator.

3. Reporting and Audit: Facilitates SOX audits and maintain compliance as it relates to the payroll function. Complies and prepares payroll data reports. Brio and Mobius reporting – create and issue reports as required.

4. Compliance: Interprets company policies and governmental regulations affecting payroll procedures. Ensures company policies in compliance with all state and federal regulations, including state wage and hours laws. Develop internal controls. Ensures compliance with regards to SOX, labor and applicable tax laws, garnishments and court orders. Actively addresses opportunity areas as they relate to compliance assurance.

5. VSEC: Managing the processing of all HR required VSEC requests. Establish controls pertaining to VSEC. Responsible for any related audits and compliance assurance.

6. Customer Service: Ensures superior customer service to all managers and employees as it relates to the payroll functions.

7. Payroll Policy Administration: Develop, implement and administer payroll policies and procedures, and enforcing compliance to said policies and procedures in both the corporate and retail environments.

8. Manage and establish controls regarding administration pertaining to the Human Resources Department.

9. Provide support to the Human Resources Department and ensure compliance to all establish controls within. Also, coordination of special projects within the HR Department.

Qualifications

Individual must have a Bachelor's degree or related discipline and 5+ years of equivalent payroll administration experience.

Qualified candidates will have previous experience in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedures manuals.

In addition, one must be able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community in a timely manner.

Individuals must have a comprehensive knowledge of wage and hour laws throughout the US. Lastly, one must posses strong organizational and communication skills as well as strong mathematical skills
