Job Summary/Essential Job Functions:
The Program Research Coordinator will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and supervising research and administrative activities of the various ongoing research projects in the Department of Preventative Medicine.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in the development of grants, guidelines/protocols, measurement tools and other processes as appropriate for the collection of research data.
Prepares narrative and research analytical reports and correspondence for data management and data analysis.
Analyzes and interprets data under the direction of the statistician and in conjunction with principal investigator and other members of the research team.
Collaborates with Principal Investigator (PI) and other research personnel on the preparation of manuscripts for publications.
Coordinates the development of forms, questionnaires and the application of research techniques; write procedural manuals for data collection and coding.
Supports personnel involved in planning, implementation; ensure distribution of supplies and equipment for execution of research protocols.
Prepares and analyze data reports and make appropriate recommendation based trends and outcomes.
Ensures compliance with protocol guidelines and adherence to requirements of the grants and contracts.
Other duties as required
Master’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, or other related Social Science field; three (3) years of related research experience; to include experience with data analysis, standard research methodology, regulatory, and research project management. Qualified candidates should possess excellent writing and computer skills (Microsoft Office Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel), be able to analyze data in statistical package (SPSS or SAS) and database management skills.
