Position Summary:
We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant Supervisor who will be responsible for accounts payable related activities which includes processing invoices and payments while supervising and mentoring peers and staff. Additionally, the Assistant Supervisor is the subject matter expert and an escalation point in resolving issues and will continuously look for improving operational processes and designs while ensuring the highest level of customer service is delivered to both internal and external customers.

Requires understanding of the accounts payable process from PO creation to invoice payment

Applies understanding of different payment methods for AP and costs associated in vendor on-boarding

Research and resolve A/P matching errors

Comfortable working with credit managers and AP Reps for vendor resolution

Help grow automated P-card solution for higher rebate

Must ensure the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices

Reconciles vendor statements to the subsidiary ledger

Own vendor master changes

Establish new metrics for tracking and benchmarking

Take ownership and/or assist in the direction and achievement of the department’s goals and strategy

Manage, guide, support, train the A/P staff when needed

Job Requirements/Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years in high volume inventory payables organization

Must be able to adapt to change in a high paced environment

Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively

Must have previous supervisory experience

Experience preferred with SAP (or similar Tier 1 ERP) and Microsoft Office, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and drug free workplace.
