Technical Account Manager– Kindle Content Operations
We are looking for a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join the Kindle Vendor Operations team based in Tokyo. This role is responsible for the seamless flow of digital book content and metadata throughout the digital supply chain from publishers and content providers through to end consumers.
The TAM will be responsible for building and owning relationships with Latin American publishers and internal stakeholders: content acquisition, product management, engineering, and operations, to drive end-to-end integration of digital content within Amazon systems. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment, be well-organized, have a demonstrated ability to solve technical challenges, and be able to credibly coordinate between teams of technical resources and business stakeholders.
Provide daily technical support for publishers and conversion houses on issues such as data transmission, XML, ONIX, FTP, DRM, images, metadata, digital file formats, and content ingestion portals specific to Amazon.
Interact with digital content providers to stay on top of new content deliveries, changes in specs, resolution of problems including issues related to ingestion, clearing and reporting.
Consistently improve content provider and Kindle customer experience by delivering superior publisher support, and by relentlessly advocating for content providers throughout the enterprise.
Innovate and implement processes that enable content providers to sell their Kindle content in an efficient and timely manner.
Your Background and Skills:
Must be fluent in written and spoken Portuguese and English, with Spanish a big plus
3-5 years of experience managing relationships, cross-functional teams, programs, or products
Technical aptitude and familiarity with digital media data and distribution elements, formats, and platforms: XML, ONIX, Codecs, FTP, Encoding, DRM, etc.; knowledge of SQL, Excel, Access
Experience in ebooks and knowledge of the publishing industry a big plus
Strong creative and analytical problem-solving skills, strong sense of ownership, and a self-starter
Excellent written and verbal communication, and a track record of relationship management
Bachelors degree required
Must be fluent in written and spoken Portuguese and English
Spanish Language a plus
