Basic Functions:
Provides oversight of quality loan processing, reviewing files for adherence to underwriting standards and ensuring a complete quality submission. Oversees the review of applications to ensure compliance with existing policies and legal requirements. Provides oversight, training, guidance, and technical assistance to other department members.

Essential Job Functions:
Contacts borrower and/or loan officer to collect necessary documentation and acts as a liaison between origination staff, underwriters, and customers.
Compiles complex loan documentation and application information. Verifies the application for completeness and accuracy. Conducts preliminary evaluation of loan applicants and properties as appropriate.
Processes complex mortgage and consumer loan applications. Performs all required research and contacts appropriate reporting agencies and businesses to verify accuracy of information. Obtains accurate AUS findings. Requests necessary documentation such as verifications of employment/assets, appraisal, preliminary title report, etc.
Analyzes credit reports for liabilities, fraud alerts, OFAC and input accuracy
Oversees the creation and maintenance of loan processing log files to include loan number, reports, verifications and appraisals. Ensures accuracy and timely completion of all loan documentation and processing for all loan closings.
Reviews returned verifications for completeness. Prepares new, renewed and/or restructured loan packages to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory statues.
Prioritizes workflow to ensure time sensitive files are handled in proper order
Provides status updates to loan officers, borrowers, and agents. Submits files to underwriting in a timely manner in accordance with company standards.
Assures compliance with all regulatory and governmental standards, guidelines, rules and regulations, and the applicable state regulatory authorities, and any applicable federal, state, and/or local ordinances, administrative regulations and statutes. Assures compliance with Mutual of Omaha Bank's policies and procedures.
Pre-underwrites loans prior to submission to Underwriting to ensure quality.
Represents the assigned market with regards to exceptions to Underwriting requests.
Provides supervisory oversight and direction to others in the respective market processing hub. Provides training and guidance to Mortgage/Consumer Loan Processors and Senior Mortgage/Consumer Loan Processors.
Develops and maintains an engaged and accountable workforce.

5 years of recent Conventional, FHA, and VA processing experience
Strong understanding of lending products, regulations and services
Thorough knowledge and experience in real estate, mortgage and consumer banking
Strong knowledge of construction, equity, consumer loan policies and procedures
Thorough knowledge of compliance with federal and state regulations pertaining to the banking industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational, problem solving and analysis skills
Sound judgment and decision-making ability
Ability to effectively communicate with prospective customers and existing customers and banking associates
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced, diverse and growth-oriented environment
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Ability to teach and foster development in others
Ability to make other comply in fair, equitable, non punishing fashion
Personal computer skills to include various software packages, including word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail and presentation, and banking systems
