Job Description

Client Company is a money transfer Financial Services Company that is focused on developing new ways to move providing money transfer choices to their customers. The Company seeks qualified Digital Fraud Strategy Analyst who will be tasked with not only executing on the online risk fraud and digital payments strategy, but also will build and develop a strong partnership with Company’s Compliance team to protect their customers and their business.

This position is part of team who has responsibility across Digital Fraud Strategy, Know your Customer (KYC) & Customer Verification, Fraud Operations, Payment Strategy, Bank Relationships, and Payment Operations.

Key responsibilities and experience include

1. Fraud Strategy Execution

  • Develop a solid understanding of risk/fraud mitigation tools & techniques
  • Execute policies and strategic programs to understand the risk, mitigate loss and to support revenue growth in Company’s digital channels and products (web, mobile)
  • Take part in efforts/projects to implement risk, products, and services to detect and prevent on-line fraud
  • Learn about device identification and device intelligence technologies and their application, including the basics of collecting device info, to applying it in authentication, risk, and general device recognition
  • Support in assessing and designing risk and compliance processes and controls for the Digital business
  • Manage fraud by creating and managing fraud data, rules, reporting and governance procedures

2. Risk Modeling and Analytics

  • Support the Risk/Decision model creation and on-going improvements
  • Experience in measurement and analytics
  • Contribute by analyzing and assessing fraud prevention and identification
  • Execute analysis of emerging fraud attacks, discovering the signals for detection, removing false positives, create rules / prevention, incident response, anticipating / preparing for future attacks, monitoring and predicting the environment across a wide variety of threats
  • Help to create fraud loss / prevention projections
  • Learn how to think like a fraudster and identify risks, exploits, and points of attack

3. Customer Advocacy

  • Has a strong understanding of customer needs and thinks in a “customer first” approach
  • Experience with customer processes at an very deep level

Other Key Experience and skill requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in an eCommerce or Financial Services industry
  • Experience working within the fraud risk space
  • Experienced in various risk mitigation / management software, tools, and techniques
  • Experience in the electronic / digital channels and has been a part of such teams addressing similar challenges
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Background using data mining tools such as SAS or SQL.
  • Not afraid to think “out of the box” to solve problems
  • Can excel in complex, fast paced environments
  • Persistent and results focused – must be able to deliver results in an environment which requires a high tolerance for ambiguity
  • Extensive multi-tasking and prioritization skills – needs to excel in fast paced environment with frequently changing priorities
  • Project coordination skills – on time results and working with cross functional teams
