PACCAR Engine Company's $400 million engine manufacturing and technology facility in Columbus, Mississippi began production in late 2010. The 12.9L engines produced at the Mississippi plant will be PACCAR Engine Company's most fuel-efficient and highest-technology diesel engines. Requisition Summary

Provides daily support for Assembly & Machining controls issue tracking and improvements. Supports procurement of new technology/equipment, daily response to production needs, and controls improvements in production and project environments.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Reviews electrical designs/PLC programs from machine suppliers for adherence to standards.
  • Participates in equipment design standards creation/consolidation
  • Plans and implements controls changes under guidance of Senior controls engineer
  • Maintains controls of documents per ISO requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Pursuing B.S. Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Controls).
  • MS Office proficiency (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint).
  • Proven ability to work in a self-directed environment required.
  • Knowledge of engine components preferred.
  • Leadership/Participation in extracurricular engineering related projects or teams.
  • PLC & controls experience at a basic level.
