Manufacturing Technician – 2nd Shift
Perform duties to assemble final products in accordance with job specifications and established quality standards.
Plan and layout test project, pull required test fixtures from storage shelves, hook up equipment and power up as described in test procedure for a variety of health care electronic monitoring and communications equipment.
Run prescribed test; make required connections to test equipment, measure power sources and a variety functional test to ensure product quality standards are maintained.
Inspect final units for physical and material defects.
Prepare report of test results and submit to supervisor.
Review failure findings with supervisor and replace defective parts and components and recommend product changes to manufacturing engineering department to improve product quality.
Assist in the design and building of test equipment and troubleshoot and repair equipment problems.
Assist lower rated technicians as necessary.
Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Ability to lift and carry over 1 lb. Up to 15% of the time, over 5lbs. Up to 25 lbs. Up to 15% of the time, and over 25 lbs. up to 60 lbs. up to 15% of the time.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and an electronic diploma or certification.
Must be able to work Monday thru Friday on 2nd shift hours of 3:30pm - 12:00am.
Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
A minimum of one year of experience in an electronics assembly environment.
Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
Capability of handling hand tools i.e. pliers, cutters, etc.
