The Atlantic Magazine seeks a full-time Art Director for Editorial and Tablet design. Under the direction of the Creative Director, the Art Director will be responsible for the management and the translation of The Atlantic to the tablet edition, contribute to the design of The Atlantic magazine, hire illustrators, commission photography, and develop information graphics for use across The Atlantic media platforms The ideal candidate is a forward thinking, creative, problem solver with at least 5 years of editorial design experience.
Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate :
Fluent in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and k4
Tablet, web and info-graphics designed are pluses
Knowledge of photography and illustration
Organized, motivated and a good communicator
