The mission of Idaho Department of Correction is to Protect Idaho through Safety, Accountability, Partnerships and Opportunties for Offender Change. Correctional Officers receive eleven weeks of paid training including a five-week course at the Idaho POST Academy for Basic Correction. A wide variety of promotional opportunities are available within the Department to include those in security, teaching, probation and parole, administration, counseling, management, and more providing numerous op for you to advance in your career.
