The Market Development & Policy Advisor, Oil & Gas Market Segment is responsible for identifying and cultivating regional and next generation business models to accelerate growth for the gas compression business. Essential Responsibilities
Make recommendations to the leadership on disruptive technologies, new trends, and other events

Monitors, analyzes and evaluates existing and future policy, standards, and regulations (external issues) that affect the gas engines business in North America

Develops and harnesses external and internal networks to build new value chain connections using rigorous data analysis and market based evaluations to creates new partnerships

Collaborates with product line management to promote innovation efforts including the incubation and commercialization of new technologies and business models, and explore new segments and customers

Develop local, state and national and global policy strategy to create new markets and support product line management’s NPI (new product introductions) and MGPP (multi generation product plan) programs

Works closely with GE's government relations policy team and participates in the GE Energy Policy Operating Council

Actively participates and builds relationships with key policymakers, industry stakeholders, trade associations and coalitions

Maintains and analyzes database of local, state and national incentives, standards, regulations for use by the gas engine’s commercial teams

Bachelor’s degree in engineering with marketing

Minimum of 5 years work experience with previous roles held in market development, government or policy Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Experience in oil and gas and/or energy sector

Spanish and Chinese language fluency

Robust analytical skills and ability to articulate analysis into meaningful and impactful recommendations for the business

Passionate, energizing, courageous, decisive, tough-minded, able to push back and drive change

Ability to work within a matrix environment and interact with executives at the most senior levels

Accepting and adhering to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others

Bachelor’s degree in engineering with marketing and/or government affairs-public relations minor

Demonstrated ability to lead teams and act in an interdisciplinary environment

Demonstrated ability to work/integrate with a multi-channel distributor organization

Demonstrated ability to interface confidently at all organizational levels

Excellent business understanding, strong leadership skills

Experience with GE Growth Playbook and Gold Standard of Marketing processes
