IFS Financial Services, Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a Regional Sales Specialist Level II.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Provides a broad range of sales and marketing support to Broker/Dealers and Touchstone Investments’ Regional Vice Presidents. Focuses on outbound sales calls and relationship building within assigned territory to generate sales results and retain current assets/relationships. Partners with a Regional Vice President in establishing a sales strategy within assigned geographic territory. Develops in-depth product and industry knowledge as it relates to mutual funds and the brokerage industry.
•Proactively investigates potential sales opportunities through telemarketing efforts with Financial Advisors and Broker/Dealers with which Touchstone has current selling group agreements.
•Provides follow-up support for Regional Vice Presidents’ meetings including follow-up sales ideas, e-mail campaigns/contacts and mailing literature, providing additional information to the Financial Advisors when necessary.
•Builds and maintains relationships with Financial Advisors to generate new sales and uncover potential sales leads.
•Maintains contact management database of detailed notes and “intelligence” on Financial Advisor contacts and reception to sales contacts.
•Develops advanced mutual fund product and procedure knowledge to sell and position products as well as answer in-depth questions from Financial Advisors.
•Work in concert with external wholesaler to organize scheduling and prospecting activities.
•Expected to focus the majority of activities on outbound calls.
•Performs other duties as assigned by management.
•Proven ability to grasp new products, concepts and procedures.
•Must provide examples of handling difficult situations while maintaining productive working relationships.
•Demonstrated negotiation skills with both internal and external customers.
•Must be able to cite examples from work experience on identifying complex issues, quantifying the issue and providing creative resolutions to solve.
•Must be able to cite examples of self-motivation and experience working under limited supervision.
•Demonstrated strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Cite examples of organization and time management/methods used to manage or prioritize workload demands.
•Possesses and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused and concise manner.
•Bachelor’s degree or commensurate selection criteria experience.
Computer skills and knowledge of hardware & software required:
•Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
•Working knowledge of Internet and e-mail.
Certifications & licenses (i.e. Series 6 & 63, CPA, etc.):
•Series 6 and 63 required within 90 days of date of hire.
•Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.
•Territory demands may require evening hours when necessary.
