Maryland Environmental Trust works with landowners and citizen land trusts to protect Maryland's most treasured landscapes and natural resources as a legacy for future generations. MET holds over 1,000 conservation easements preserving over 127,000 acres statewide. These protected lands are monitored to ensure that the original conservation values are permanently maintained.

We actively need help with computer work and administrative support for our protected land monitoring program. MET is seeking 1 to 2 organized, people-oriented office volunteers to assist the Volunteer Coordinator in managing stewardship materials for use by staff and monitoring volunteers. Volunteers are needed at our office in Crownsville, MD to scan slides and easement exhibits and to manage easement information.

The information is essential to our field monitoring program to check that protected farms and forests remain undeveloped. Hours are flexible (daytime Monday through Friday). All volunteers will enjoy meaningful work with a personable, dedicated, appreciative staff.
