Manage the delivery of projects as it relates to the interior environment. Develop interior architectural concepts in collaboration with team architects and members. Responsible for multiple concurrent projects, interfacing with client, managing schedules and budgets.
Responsibilities:
Manage the client relationship; absolute customer satisfaction
Prepare and present design solutions to clients
Schedule and manage the Interior Design milestones - meet or beat the deadlines
Develop Interior projects from initial programming & space planning through construction administration and completion, coordinating with architectural team
Coordinate with in-house design team, pre-construction estimators, electrical or other specialty consultants or subcontractors
Manage project fee budgets for Interior's portion of projects, including Additional Services on a monthly basis in coordination with project teams
Proficient in Finish material knowledge, as it relates to the recommendation, use, installation and maintenance of the specified products. Take the lead in the introduction of new technology
Lighting, acoustics, materials, construction and installation, furnishings, sustainability
New functionality and industry trends; costing information applicable
Train, manage & oversee less experienced designers in processes, materials and products.
Understands and maintains relationships between Manufacturers representatives and subcontractors to The Neenan Company
Final approval of Interiors Shop drawings
Manages the selection, presentation, specification, installation of commercial furnishings, art & accessories when Additional Services are contracted
Manage archiving process and record drawings for Interior portion of project upon project completion
Build and Maintain successful teams
Requirements: Job Qualifications:
Understands medical facilities' functions and requirements (terminology, etc.); Familiar with Evidence Based Design concepts and practices
Interior Design Degree; NCIDQ certified
Minimum of 10 years experience in commercial design (preferably healthcare specific)
Must be able to travel and possibly co-locate for brief periods of time
Good presentation skills
Experience managing multiple projects
Knowledge of constructability
Competent in code compliance requirements (ANSI, ADA, Fire and Building.)
Competent in electronic formats (AutoCad, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Sketch-up, BlueBeam, etc.); Knowledge of Revit
