This growing nationwide industry leader has an immediate full-time opening in Dallas for a MySQL Database Administrator. Will have the opportunity to work from home 3-4 days/week and will be responsible for MySQL administration (installation, configuration, backup strategy, disaster recovery, upgrades) and high availability architecture. Will implement and manage database replication (query optimization and data partitioning). Will diagnose server problems and employ preventive measures to maintain high availability servers, as well as manage outside resources for database administration tasks. Will review and analyze existing developed systems and suggest performance optimizations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree.
5+ years of experience with MySQL (MySQL Percona edition) and working in Linux/UNIX environments.
Extensive knowledge of InnoDB storage engine, triggers and stored procedures.
Proficiency in various MySQL load balanced configurations, MySQL performance monitoring tools, and running MySQL on VMs and SANs.
Extensive knowledge of InnoDB storage engine, triggers and stored procedures.
Proficiency in various Linux OS, as well as Shell scripting and usage.Application Requirements
