Director of Outsourcing Service Line (SL) Marketing Job

Location: US or UK

Position Purpose:
The Director of Outsourcing Service Line Marketing will lead the creation and coordination of the go-to-market approach for the Outsourcing Service Line (SL). This will be accomplished by:

  • Continually driving “Voice of the Customer” into marketing messages, asset development, sales enablement and field marketing programs.
  • Building strong service line and solution messaging that will differentiate Avanade in the market
  • Acting as the SME for the relevant Service line market landscape of solutions and competitors
  • Equipping the sales and marketing teams (direct or channel) by delivering high quality sales tools, supported by appropriate communication and training.
  • Driving market development by engaging with the analyst community, influential industry organizations, Press, and social media
  • Providing guidance to Field Marketing teams for campaign planning, events, and other demand generation activities
The individual will report to the VP of Global SL Marketing and work closely with Global SL Executives,, Global SL Business Directors, and Product Management, as well as with Avanade’s area and regional executives to define the right go-to-market approach tailored by maturity of each geographic market, channel strategy and the Outsourcing SL.

This leader will be aligned to a SL organization (or multiple) and a global marketing organization and will collaborate with the corporate, field and alliance marketing teams to ensure the Outsourcing SL Marketing strategy is closely integrated with and supportive of Avanade’s business strategy, the respective service line priorities and other relevant global marketing strategies in market. This role will also require close collaboration with Accenture and Microsoft to ensure the Outsourcing SL’s alignment with parent companies’ strategies and programs.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 15 years relevant experience. Product or Solution Marketing roles within software or technology service providers is highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of the outsourcing space, competitor go-to-market strategies, and core solution categories within Avanade’s outsourcing business
  • Proven track record in leading messaging development, engagement with analyst community, and driving product or service line marketing
  • MBA or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills

  • Outstanding verbal and written skills with experience presenting to large audiences and interacting with C-level executives.
  • Extensive experience in the discipline of Product Marketing for both software and services including voice of the customer methodologies, buyer personas, market differentiation platforms, sales enablement, market development, and demand creation strategies
  • Excellent customer and sales team facing skills
  • Strategic thinker able to develop vision as well as execute.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed organization
  • Strong change management leadership experience and skills an advantage.
