Loews Annapolis Hotel is currently recruiting for a maintenance engineer to perform trade specific repair and maintenance within the areas of expertise specified. The position is responsible for the general maintenance of buildings and grounds as well as the completion of maintenance requests by guests and team members.
The position is part time and reports directly to the Director of Facilities. He or she will perform work requiring the specialized skills of at least one of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, HVAC/refrigeration in addition to skillful completion of other maintenance requests. Additionally, he or she will respond to trouble/complaint maintenance requests calls throughout the grounds and hotel when directed to do so by a supervisor.
The maintenance engineer may also assist in PM programs, performing minor repairs on equipment that comes into the shop and assist in the training of subordinate engineers.
Hours for the position will be flexible and based on needs of the building, projects and expected business levels and will include weekends, AM/PM shifts and holidays.

Required Skills & Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and have post high school training in engineering/maintenance related discipline. Recent experience in hotel maintenance engineering in an upscale hotel environment is preferred.
Additionally, he or she should have strong mechanical background with a minimum of (recent) two years experience in a maintenance related activity requiring journey level activity. He or she must be guest oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills, have a strong ability to multi task with proven detail orientation. Punctual, dependable, able to work the schedule as needed, Friendly with a polished appearance.
Physical requirements include the ability to bend, stoop and left (up to 75 lbs) repetitively.
