We are searching for an assertive, motivated, and experienced professional to plan, direct and implement programs to ensure a safe, healthy, accident free and regulatory compliant work environment.

In support of these commitments, we seek an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety Manager for our corporate office located in Roselle, IL.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with staff in the assessment of risks.
Conduct/coordinate worker training.
Develop, maintain and establish safety communication protocol and processes for the evaluation of safety programs.
Perform safety audits.
Establish policies relating to PPE.
Review workers’ compensation claims and OSHA recordkeeping.
Maintain practices to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local environmental regulations.
Maintain procedures for compliance with air, water, sewer, and hazardous waste regulations.
Provide guidance in the development/implementation of policy, procedure and protocol for the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, spill containment and cleanup, solid and universal waste management, and recycling.
Maintain MSDS database.
The work will be performed in a chemical production facility, warehouse, garage or office environments or in the field where environmental conditions are affected by weather.
College degree in Engineering, Applied or Basic Science, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
5+ years relevant experience.
Proficient in OSHA and Workers’ Compensation regulations and best practices in workplace safety.
Demonstrated experience and proficiency in successfully implementing and managing safety programs.
Ability to communicate effectively in English in both verbal and written form. Ability to compose and appropriately format business memos and other correspondence.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and general computer systems.
Ability to organize time and tasks with little direction or supervision and to solve or resolve problems in a timely and effective manner.
Ability to effectively partner with employees, management and cross-functional teams to meet performance objectives and to support mission and vision of the Company.
