Main Function
As member of the End User Client Services team, engineer will provide Customer Service support on technical infrastructure activities including first and second line PC support to the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities businesses and ensure that desktop support issues are addressed in a quality and timely manner. Engineer will coordinate issues with other technical departments either by forwarding on incidents to the appropriate teams or contacting them directly. Utilize the various productions areas in assisting, resolving issues and escalating to management when necessary. Work on projects as directed by the Business Services or manager

Main Duties
Front/Back Office Support Services include:

• Perform tasks as directed by the Business Services FrontOffice or BackOffice Support Manager to given standards of quality to ensure the efficient and effective delivery and implementation of change to the corporate desktop infrastructure.

• Provide an efficient and effective fault resolution service and first/second line PC desktop support service to Barclays Capital escalating upward, when appropriate, to ensure management and resolution of all faults in the corporate desktop environment.

• Provide one-to-one training to Barclays Capital staff to ensure optimum use of PC software tools.

• Liaise with other departments where appropriate, e.g. IT development, operations and business areas to ensure all changes are implemented with minimal impact on the users.

• Maintain change management records and logs to ensure a complete and constant record of change within the corporate environment.

• Implement project work as directed by the Business Services FrontOffice or BackOffice Support manager

Person Requirements
Basic Qualifications

3+ years Desktop Applications & Systems (Win 0S, XP, 7; MAC OSX etc...)
3+ years M S DOS Management and basic- strong batch and VB Scripting knowledge

Bachelors Degree

Preferred Qualifications

BES Management Console (Versions 4.0 and higher)
Market Data Application(Bloomberg, Reuters / Reuters Dealing, E-Speed, Tradeweb, Broker Tec)
Excel Scripting (VBA)

Advance Microsoft Suite (Office 2003, 2007, 2010)

Extensive Knowledge with IT ticketing systems (HP, Service Now, Remedy etc...)

Asset management

ITIL Foundation Framework Certification

Active Directory Management

Virtualization (VDI)

Citrix and Java Application Support

Understanding of Capital Market and Investment Banking

Life cycle of a Trade

Problem Management and RCA

Having supported program trading systems

Working knowledge of market data

Service Life Cycle- Incident Management, Request Fulfillment, Problem Management, Asset Management, Service Desk and IT Risk Management

Able to handle trading floor environment and potentially irate customer while meeting and exceeding OLA’s and SLA’s defined

Ability to multitask and prioritize simultaneous requests and issues

Team player

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Able to work independently with little direction

Completes tasks on time and is detail oriented

Champion Processes and as an Owner or affiliate

Ability to identify Major Incidents and reporting where applicable while escalating when necessary
