As member of the End User Client Services team, engineer will provide Customer Service support on technical infrastructure activities including first and second line PC support to the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities businesses and ensure that desktop support issues are addressed in a quality and timely manner. Engineer will coordinate issues with other technical departments either by forwarding on incidents to the appropriate teams or contacting them directly. Utilize the various productions areas in assisting, resolving issues and escalating to management when necessary. Work on projects as directed by the Business Services or manager
Front/Back Office Support Services include:
Perform tasks as directed by the Business Services FrontOffice or BackOffice Support Manager to given standards of quality to ensure the efficient and effective delivery and implementation of change to the corporate desktop infrastructure.
Provide an efficient and effective fault resolution service and first/second line PC desktop support service to Barclays Capital escalating upward, when appropriate, to ensure management and resolution of all faults in the corporate desktop environment.
Provide one-to-one training to Barclays Capital staff to ensure optimum use of PC software tools.
Liaise with other departments where appropriate, e.g. IT development, operations and business areas to ensure all changes are implemented with minimal impact on the users.
Maintain change management records and logs to ensure a complete and constant record of change within the corporate environment.
Implement project work as directed by the Business Services FrontOffice or BackOffice Support manager
