The Environmental Services Supervisor directs the staff in maintaining the standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance as established by the hospital in accordance with hospital and Joint Commission standards. This position is responsible to keep management informed on the immediate condition of all areas. The supervisor also coordinates and motivates employees to ensure that assignments and designated cleaning tasks are completed in a proper and timely manner. The supervisor will provide new employee orientation and support Coordinators and Leads with training needs. The incumbent acts in the place of management as needed. Some common tasks may include coordinating scheduling and staffing, conducting frequent quality control inspections (including hospital furnishings and housekeeping equipment), and providing backup on clerical and administrative functions.
This position will be working 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Sun, Mon, Tues, Thurs, Friday.
This is a full time 40 hour a week position
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Must be able to read color coded labels and chemicals
- Must be able to follow written and verbal directions
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of the department
- Stand, push, pull,walk,stoop,lift
- 2 years housekeeping experience
- Floor care experience
