Seniority/Experience Requirement: 6 or more years similar experience in manufacturing (steel or pipe industries)
Education Requirements: University degree in Engineering (Electronic or Electrical discipline preferred)
Responsibilities include the following:
Manages and controls the nondestructive control processes in the US mills, ensuring improvement in product quality and compliance with the requisitions required by customers.
Establishes the methodology and criteria required to improve the usage of Tenaris machines and equipment in the US mills.
Ensures that the necessary critical analyses are being performed according to product quality standards.
Proposes corrective actions, where warranted, to ensure products meet customer specifications.
Ensures the development of proper documentation of testing results and recommendations.
Desired skills we are looking for: ASNT Level III in the following methods/techniques : UT, Eddy Current , Flux Leakage and desirable magnetic particles
L3 in X Ray method is desirable
API standards and inspection of pipes
Ability to travel 25% - 30% between two Tenaris mills in the United States.
Ability to teamwork with peers and other departments.
Technical analysis skills when equipment fails, and ability to interface with customers to explain technical problems and future improvements.
High level of commitment to task.
Flexible to be available when there is a problem in the mill and there is the need to go and assist.
Change management skills: capacity to drive to make changes in the actions towards improving quality in Tenaris.
Capacity to integrate within Tenaris global team.
