Using discretion and judgment, works with individual firms and Sr. National Account Managers on larger firm to develop and coordinate business plans for client firms and MFS resources to increase sales. Promotes positive relationships with MFS client firms. A key portion of this role is managing a select group of client firms across multiple distribution channels as the sole point of contact.
Partners with Sr. National Account Managers in maintaining key home office relationships and also covers firms for which they are solely responsible. Acts as a back-up for Sr. National Account Managers to answer questions, and investigate and resolve issues but is the primary contact on their own firms for these items.
Determines appropriate customized marketing materials that when paired with dealer initiatives results in best opportunity for success. Provides comprehensive sales and marketing information (external, home office and sales force). Sources, analyzes and works with product management and compliance to ensure materials are ready for distribution.
Manages a select group of client firms across multiple distribution channels. Manages dealer agreement process, including conducting discussions with wholesalers to determine appropriate agreement and ensures negotiation with attorneys is completed. Acts as primary contact for wholesaler questions.
Travels as necessary with other MFD personnel (Wholesalers, Directors on the Accounts team, Senior managing director / National Accounts as well as on their own to clients' home office to develop sales and marketing campaigns. Implements campaigns in conjunction with client. May also accompany Portfolio Managers and sales force members for presentations regarding MFS portfolios.
Develops, coordinates and implements sales promotions, conference calls, meetings, etc. for select client firms.
Acts as department point-person to coordinate and participate in regional and Boston-based meetings for registered representatives.
Implements, coordinates and monitors marketing and sales efforts between the Marketing Department resources and the field.
Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Minimum of four years of industry experience with some form of financial advisor interaction
Position requires FINRA series 6 and 63 registration in accordance with MFS' licensing policy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Past experience in maintaining home office relationships desirable.
Broad knowledge and understanding of related products including competitors.
Travel upon request.
