This is an excellent career opportunity for individual with solid Quality Assurance background in Military/Commercial R & O to move into a QA II position with expanded responsibilities.

This position is located at the Honeywell Military/Commercial Repair, Overhaul and Distribution Center located at the Sky Harbor Facility in Phoenix, AZ.

This position reports to the ISC Sr Quality Manager for the Sky Harbor campus for the Phoenix Distribution Center. The Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) is responsible for driving quality improvements initiatives while working directly with internal and external customers and suppliers. The QAE identifies opportunities and provides organizational leadership to create a quality competitive advantage for Honeywell AERO and its Customers. This position will have a significant focus on the quality of Aerospace Military/Commercial Mechanical and Avionics/Electrical (AvEl) spare parts.

Responsibilities include:
Owns process quality and documentation for the Site operation and provide technical direction for new programs Perform review of contractual documents and customer instructions to assure compliance with customer, regulatory and authorizing documents, implement quality processes to meet requirements Utilizing e-CATS and process improvement tools techniques, coordinate with internal and external customers, suppliers and functional teams to resolve quality issues and lead root cause/cause chain determinations as well as development of corrective actions to prevent recurrence Serve on Customer Satisfaction Board as required Respond to requests for quality issues and communicate the level of Customer satisfaction (VOC) Ensure Quality System is understood and executed by associates with influence on product or process quality Provide leadership to the Site quality team to assure Quality and Operational goals and objectives are met Identify and execute projects to standardize and lean/simplify quality systems, processes and procedures Develop key process measures to determine process effectiveness and areas for improvement Utilize enablers — Honeywell Operating System, Six Sigma, Lean to identify best practices and drive continuous quality improvement. Lead cross-functional teams in the execution and reporting of quality improvement projects with a focus on overall escapes reduction and internal defects Drive 'real time' RCCA and investigations that involve associates in the prevention of defects Establish a Quality Management Operating System (Q-MOS) the includes a site CAB, linkage into the site MOR/MR to assure visibility of overall quality performance including data reporting, analysis and projects for improvement Interface with both Honeywell OEM sites as well as Honeywell Suppliers regarding defects impacting overall product quality Establish key indicators for quality process control, customer and process sigma, and performance improvement Understand and support the deployment of our safety philosophy Active participation and support of the internal audit process

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or technical discipline. 3 years of experience in manufacturing and/or quality systems.

Due to ITAR requirements, must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident VISA holder.

Additional Qualifications:
Greenbelt/Blackbelt/Lean Certification preferred.
