Position Responsibilities:
The flight technician position reports to the Supervisor - Aviation. The flight technician is responsible for performing aircraft maintenance as directed in accordance with approved methods, techniques and standards set forth under the Federal Aviation Regulations and the appropriate approved data for the aircraft. In addition the flight technician will perform other support duties as required.

Works within Verizon Aviation to maintain a culture of safety with efficient procedures that support customer service.

Ensures aircraft is maintained to acceptable industry standards and in compliance with current Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR's).

Ensures the readiness and airworthiness of assigned aircraft for dispatch.

Launches and dispatches aircraft upon departure and arrival at home base. Debriefs crewmembers on aircraft status.

Performs Preflight and Post flight inspections and servicing on company aircraft.

Clearing, or properly deferring aircraft discrepancies found during or after flight.

Ordering of components, parts, and supplies for assigned aircraft. Ensuring proper documentation accompanies parts.

Performs aircraft towing/departure positioning/ and hangar stack operations. Tracking of the current maintenance status of assigned aircraft with CMP/CAMP programs. Substantiates correctness of corresponding logbook entries.

Ensuring all Airworthiness Directives/ Mandatory Service Bulletins, for assigned aircraft, are complied with and documented correctly in the aircraft records.

Ensuring all Service Bulletins for assigned aircraft are reviewed and recommendations to Manager of Aviation Maintenance for individual compliance.

Prepares and submits Request's for Quotes (RFQ's) for scheduled maintenance.

Accompanies assigned aircraft through off station maintenance inspections. Oversees work package inspection completion/logbook entries and discrepancy rectification.

Reviews contracted vendor billing statements for completeness and correctness.

Organizing and retaining the aircraft historical documents and files per department established guidelines and FAR's.

Assists crewmembers with passenger baggage handling needs.

Providing, by cell-phone, 24- hour accessibility for crews and Ops for maintenance problems at home base or away.

Other duties assigned by the Supervisor Aviation Support-Maintenance.

Required Skills & Experience:
FAA Airframe and Power Plant Licenses

A valid clear driver's license and Passport

Minimum of 10+years of current aviation maintenance experience, with at least 5 years working in corporate aircraft

Strong troubleshooting, communications, organizational, and mechanical aptitude

Must be team oriented

Desired Skills & Experience:
A college degree is preferred

Factory schooled in company aircraft preferred

FAA Inspection Authorization preferred
