Thundermist Health Center is looking for a full-time, exempt, experienced person to manage our Wakefield practice.

General Responsibilities:

The Practice Manager oversees the fiscal and operational activities of patient services and support departments and directly supervises support staff.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor of Science in health, business or related field, and/or
2. Must have 3 to 5 years of related reception supervisory experience
3. Experience in collections and general reconciliation
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills

Physical Effort/Environment:

*Able to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time
*Extensive computer use
*Occasional light to moderate lifting necessary

Work Schedule Demands:

Full time position during regular business hours. Some overtime and weekends may be necessary.

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and oral communication necessary to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, physicians and outside/contracted services.

Confidentiality of Information:

Full access to patient records and accounts, supervised staff personnel records and policy and budgetary information

Significant Job Functions:

 Develop and maintain effective organizational structures that maintain efficient and effective patient flow.
 Supervise Front Desk and Medical Records staff in performance of assigned job functions and corrective action as well as education and development.
 Maintain all provider schedules including seasonal changes, vacation/CME or changing when necessary.
 Manage daily closing and reconciliation process
 As part of the management team, identify and implement necessary process changes related to the system upgrades ( example: electronic health record)
