The Midwest Enterprise District has an opening for a senior Account Technology Strategist in the Chicago area. As a senior Account TS, you will work with both business and technical decision makers in a pre-sales and solution consultation capacity. The ATS serves as a key player in the focused account team, responsible for enhancing the executive and technical decision maker relationships with the account including partners, product teams, solution specialists, Microsoft executives, Microsoft Consulting and others. Teamed with a senior Account executive, the ATS will be responsible for the account planning and customer focused sales motions necessary to exceed the revenue and growth goals of the territory. The ATS will also drive security mobilization and deployment goals for the territory. The ATS will also develop and maintain relationships with senior-level and executive decision makers, analyze business strategies and obstacles in order to propose sound business solutions, contribute to a high-caliber virtual team, and share best practices nationally, if not globally.
Skills and Qualifications: Broad technology expertise required including knowledge of competing solutions. Knowledge and/or experience with Microsoft’s MS Online offerings and Windows Azure solution are recommended. Experience with Virtualization scenarios and Microsoft’s Unified Communications platform (Lync and Lync Voice) are also strongly encouraged. Experience in managing/competing against Cisco, VMWare and Apple is highly desired as well as a current understanding of the evolution of Microsoft’s products into both on-prem and cloud offerings. Candidate must be proficient in creating a solution strategy mapped to the business plan for the accounts assigned, and be prepared to handle global business challenges and communications.
The successful candidate must be able to articulate the business value of Microsoft solutions in addition to scalability, availability, and management solutions and products and position them in competitive scenarios in the context of the customers’ needs and language/themes. Applicants should have a modern and strong technical background with 8+ year’s industry and information technology experience. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and presentation skills with the ability to articulate the advantages of Microsoft technology to senior business and technical decision makers as well as front-line technologists. Sales and polished executive engagement/presentation experience is required. A BA/BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline is preferred. Some travel is required.
